Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Analyst 1 to join our team at the Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for managing the Department's personnel program, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and policies of the Federal and State Governments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Department's personnel program, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, rules, and policies of the Federal and State Governments.
  • Work with management to ensure personnel actions are in compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to HR Coordinators and Senior Human Resources Managing Partners in specialized areas such as leave management, training, and workforce inclusion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, or a related field.
  • Valid certification as a Professional in Human Resource or SHRM Certified Professional.
  • One year of Human Resource experience or three years of paraprofessional or technical-level experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in database management, HRIS, and recruitment and selection.
  • Experience in writing, editing, and analyzing reports.
  • General understanding of labor laws, including AA/EEO, OSHA, FMLA, and OFLA leaves.
