We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Consultant to join our team at Barrett Business Services, Inc. (BBSI). As a key member of our organization, you will provide guidance and support to our business-owner clients and internal team of experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic human capital management guidance to clients, including employment law compliance, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of clients and internal teams.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and implement best practices in human resources.
  • Stay up-to-date on current laws, events, industry trends, and economic factors that may impact BBSI and its clients.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in hands-on and strategic HR management.
  • Multi-client/units consulting experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of HR metrics and ability to benchmark, measure, analyze, and articulate the value and ROI of HR initiatives, practices, and policies.
  • Ability to become a trusted advisor to business owners.
  • Extensive Microsoft Office experience.
  • SPHR or PHR certification strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, certifications, and other qualifications of the candidate. This position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, health savings account, flexible savings account, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, accidental death and dismemberment, life insurance, voluntary life insurance, voluntary disability insurance, voluntary accident, voluntary critical care, voluntary hospital indemnity, legal, identity & fraud protection, commuter benefits, pet insurance, employee stock purchase program, and an employee assistance program. Paid Time Off: 40 hours of paid sick leave annually; vacation accrues up to 80 hours in the first year, up to 120 hours in years 2-4, and up to 160 hours in the fifth year; 6 paid holidays annually, 4 paid volunteer days annually.
