Overview:

The role involves delivering comprehensive Human Resources support to Toyota Boshoku Tennessee, aimed at fostering positive team member relations, enhancing workplace dynamics, and promoting the company's core values and culture.

Responsibilities may include assisting with Safety, Security, and Training initiatives. Ensure equitable and consistent application of company policies and established practices. Conduct exit interviews and communicate findings with the HR team. Collaborate with fellow HR professionals to develop policies and procedures. Guarantee that the recruitment of hourly employees adheres to company standards and regulations. Support the execution of team member opinion surveys. Investigate, document, and resolve internal complaints and Ethics Point issues. Facilitate various training sessions related to team member relations.

Maintain a thorough understanding of Toyota Boshoku's organizational structure, automotive manufacturing processes, company offerings, industry terminology, and operational principles.

Plan, coordinate, and lead social and community engagement activities for TBA.

Provide cross-training and support in the absence of HR colleagues as necessary. Assist with recruitment, benefits management, onboarding, personnel administration, team member development, and other HR-related tasks as required.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.

Experience:
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in a human resources generalist role, with a focus on employee/team member relations.
  • Experience in corporate and manufacturing environments is preferred.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Initiative to undertake assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional independent judgment and discretion.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in creating reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
  • Competence in developing clear and concise visual reports using charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Ability to uphold a suitable level of professionalism and adherence to corporate culture.
  • Quick and appropriate response to unexpected situations in the workplace.
  • Willingness to work a fixed or rotating shift schedule, including outside normal business hours.

Language Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Computer/Software Proficiency:
  • Solid experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email, databases, desktop publishing, and presentation software, preferably Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with large-scale HRIS and other enterprise systems; experience with Oracle and Kronos is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS TEAMS is preferred.

Work Environment:
Office:
Open office setting with a moderate noise level.

Plant:
Standard automotive manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection may be necessary in certain areas.

Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel 0-10% of the time. Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods is essential. Capability to travel by automobile and airplane is required.
