Job Summary

The Surgical Program Improvement Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting the NSQIP team by providing expertise in organization and system-wide planning related to NSQIP abstraction requirements, initiatives, and reporting. This position oversees the quality reporting specialists, ensuring seamless execution of quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Improvement Planning: Develop and implement quality improvement plans to enhance NSQIP abstraction requirements and reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of quality reporting specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including nursing, quality, and operations, to ensure effective communication and collaboration on quality improvement initiatives.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop and track performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: State of Maine RN license is required. Active NSQIP SCR certification is recommended.
  • Experience: Five years of RN experience required. Two years of demonstrated experience conducting healthcare quality initiatives.
