About the Role

This position is essential in supporting various aspects of the Company's SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of SEC and US GAAP regulations, financial statements, and the necessary disclosure requirements. This role will involve regular interaction with key members of the corporate accounting and finance teams, as well as legal and external audit professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in all phases of quarterly and annual SEC filings, which includes coordinating the drafting of business descriptions, MD&A sections, footnote disclosures, and other mandated disclosures; compiling work papers and ensuring accuracy; integrating feedback from colleagues and collaborating with business leaders to guarantee precise filings; completing GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned, providing opportunities to work on complex transactions such as debt restructurings, acquisitions, and revenue recognition challenges.
  • Deliver critical analysis and audit support, addressing requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct independent research on accounting issues and communicate findings through verbal discussions and written memos to relevant parties within the Company.
  • Interpret matters related to disclosures and incorporate new GAAP/SEC reporting requirements into Company filings.
  • Commit to ongoing improvements through process enhancements, control improvements, automation tools, and generative AI.
  • Benchmark existing and new Company disclosures against other registrants.
  • Assist in preparing financial information for quarterly Investor Relations documents, including 8-K filings, scripts, and investor presentations.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 150 credit hours of coursework

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience

• Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

• Strong understanding of US GAAP

• Excellent analytical skills and independent thinking

• Highly detail-oriented and organized

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Proficient in building and leveraging professional relationships

Travel Requirements:

Candidates may be required to travel to the corporate office on a quarterly basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in SEC Reporting

• Solid understanding of SEC rules and regulations

• Background in Big 4 or public company environments

• Active CPA license

• Familiarity with automation tools such as Alteryx or UiPath, PeopleSoft GL, Hyperion Financial Management, and/or Workiva software.

The compensation range for this position is anticipated to be between $75,000 and $99,000. Actual pay rates will vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
