Job Summary

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking an experienced legal administrative assistant to join our team in the Minneapolis office. The selected individual will assume responsibility with minimal supervision, exercise initiative and judgment to make decisions within the scope of their assigned authority, and champion collaboration with all firm members and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and process case information to final disposition
  • Create electronic files, prepare and process correspondence, memoranda, and complex legal documents
  • Prepare documents for state and federal court filings and e-filing in various state and federal courts
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining attorney calendars and contact information, and new client intake
Requirements
  • Highly motivated individual with strong communication, organizational, and client service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively in a team environment to meet all fee earner and client deadlines
  • Top-notch accuracy, spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of general litigation experience and high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with e-filing, document management, and time and billing systems is preferred
