Position Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Procurement Planner will oversee the inventory of materials across various locations to ensure the timely and complete delivery of customized products to clients.
  • Collaborating with Operations and Finance teams, you will establish an inventory governance framework and develop strategies that align with business objectives while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Manage both Make to Stock (MTS) and Make to Order (MTO) processes, coordinating inventory replenishment methods and quantities effectively.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to work alongside buyers in ordering and optimizing inventory planning processes within our ERP system.
  • Assist in identifying inventory discrepancies in warehouse and production settings, ensuring accuracy in the ERP system.
  • Monitor excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory, providing timely recommendations for disposition to meet ITW's targets.
  • Proactively anticipate supply chain disruptions or operational shutdowns and implement necessary measures to mitigate their impact.
  • Track inventory performance against established plans and initiate corrective actions for any variances.
  • Conduct data analysis, develop, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance inventory performance and minimize storage costs.
  • Engage in the weekly Engineering Change Order (ECO) process to assess revisions, Work in Process (WIP), and their implications for production.
  • Support New Product Introduction planning, including Bill of Materials (BOM) reviews and cost setups for parts and assemblies.
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives within the plant.
  • This role may involve purchasing materials, parts, equipment, and services.
  • Analyze BOM structures and plan for part obsolescence.
  • Experience with PowerBI or similar tools is advantageous.
  • Certifications such as APICS, CPSM, or CSCP are a plus.
Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, demand planning, inventory management, and item lifecycle management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Experience in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on problem-solving and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret and navigate data effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with any ERP system is essential.
  • Knowledge of Kanban inventory systems is beneficial.
