At Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc., we are looking for a Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing for our Point of Care division.
This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President of the Point of Care business line. The Senior Vice President will deliver strategic and operational leadership across the business line's operations, which include manufacturing facilities in multiple countries for both instruments and reagents. This role oversees a workforce of approximately 800 full-time employees and leads global planning alongside external and third-party manufacturing.
The core leadership responsibilities include:
- Formulating and implementing a strategic plan for the POC supply chain function, focusing on site optimization, processes, organization, and technology.
- Building strong partnerships with Commercial, Customer Services, Quality, and R&D, emphasizing customer orientation, business process excellence, and financial and personnel leadership.
- Managing daily supply chain operations to ensure seamless execution that supports ongoing revenue growth.
- Continuously enhancing the supply chain to drive financial performance through efficient operations.
- Overseeing outsourcing strategies and managing contract manufacturers and third-party service providers.
- Developing a robust talent pipeline within the global supply chain organization and collaborating with peers on talent development initiatives.
- Working closely with the POC leadership team to influence growth strategies and operational plans.
- Defining the operational approach for transitioning new products from R&D to production.
- Creating and executing strategies for outsourced manufacturing operations aligned with commercial objectives.
- Providing hands-on strategic leadership in supply chain management, including negotiation, strategic planning, forecasting, cost reduction initiatives, quality control, and consistent supply chain operations.
- Ensuring the implementation of quality management systems and processes to support manufacturing.
Candidate Profile
We seek an outstanding integrated supply chain executive with a proven track record in leading complex global operations, who possesses the drive and passion for cultivating high-performance capabilities and teams. The ideal candidate will have:
- 15+ years of experience in supply chain and manufacturing leadership within diagnostics-focused organizations characterized by complexity and scale.
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Business; an MBA is advantageous.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and certification in Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred.
- Inspirational leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams towards a common goal.
- A successful professional history and executive leadership trajectory, managing substantial mission-critical operations facing significant demands or changes.
- Proven success in applying advanced manufacturing management practices while optimizing and reducing costs across the manufacturing and end-to-end supply chain.
