Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Management: Maintain weekly oversight of part shortages and actively participate in daily production meetings to communicate supply chain status.
  • Supplier Coordination: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services that meet quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate necessary correspondence to expedite critical purchases and update purchase orders in the ERP system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Category Manager and Engineering teams to address any technical issues suppliers may encounter.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage vendor adjustments related to non-conforming materials, surplus returns, and order cancellations.
  • Performance Metrics: Publish monthly performance metrics regarding vendor on-time delivery.
  • Purchasing Duties: Responsible for procuring materials, parts, and equipment in accordance with established purchasing policies, optimizing price, delivery, and terms.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Identify potential suppliers, issue requests for quotations, and analyze supplier capabilities.
  • Market Monitoring: Investigate market trends and conditions to inform purchasing decisions.
Qualifications

This is an intermediate-level role requiring a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • A detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Understanding of electronics and the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • The capacity to perform under pressure.
