In this pivotal role, the Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing for Point of Care will report directly to the Executive Vice President overseeing the Point of Care (POC) business line. This position is responsible for strategic and operational leadership across the business line's operations, which include manufacturing facilities in multiple countries. The role oversees a workforce of approximately 800 full-time employees and leads global planning alongside external manufacturing partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a strategic plan for the POC supply chain function, focusing on site optimization, process enhancement, organizational structure, and technological advancements.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with Commercial, Customer Services, Quality, and R&D teams, emphasizing customer orientation, business process excellence, and effective leadership.
  • Oversee daily supply chain operations to ensure seamless execution that supports ongoing revenue growth.
  • Continuously enhance supply chain efficiency, driving financial performance through optimized operations.
  • Lead the outsourcing strategy and manage relationships with contract manufacturers and third-party service providers.
  • Develop a strong talent pipeline within the global supply chain organization, collaborating with peers on talent development initiatives.
  • Work closely with the POC leadership team to contribute to growth strategies and operational planning.
  • Define the operational approach for transitioning new products from R&D to production.
  • Establish and execute strategies for outsourced manufacturing operations aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Provide hands-on strategic leadership in supply chain management, including negotiation, strategic planning, forecasting, cost reduction initiatives, quality control, and consistent operational performance.
  • Ensure the implementation of quality management systems and processes to support manufacturing excellence.

Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a distinguished supply chain executive with extensive experience in managing complex global operations, coupled with a passion for developing high-performance teams. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 15+ years of experience in supply chain and manufacturing leadership within diagnostics-focused organizations.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business; an MBA is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Inspirational leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to motivate teams towards common objectives.
  • A successful track record in executive leadership roles, managing mission-critical operations amidst increasing demands.
  • Expertise in sophisticated manufacturing management practices, with a focus on optimizing costs across the supply chain.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • A deep understanding of financial reporting and annual budgeting processes.
  • A history of building and retaining high-caliber leadership teams while fostering engagement across diverse workforces.
