About this role

Newmont is seeking a Process Superintendent to oversee the milling facilities and drive operational excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met, performing budget and cost control, and conducting staff and safety meetings.

Key responsibilities
  • Evaluate capital projects and ensure compliance with state and federal safety and health regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize output and interact with other mine sites to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set and maintain metallurgical operations standards and ensure all employees maintain compliance with state and federal laws and Company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with hiring, reviews, training, disciplinary, and other personnel actions, and ensure quality use of Leadership Pipeline and the People Development Centre.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and twelve (12) years' experience OR seventeen (17) years related experience.
  • Metallurgical Engineering degree desired.
  • Good computer skills, good verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work directly with others.
Working Conditions & Location
  • Position based in United States at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, located in Teller County Colorado.
  • Ability to alter work schedule when required.
  • Must be able to work at high altitude.
