Cage Cashier

Job Summary:

The Cage Cashier role at Golden Nugget Hotels & Casinos is a dynamic position that requires strong cash handling skills and excellent customer service abilities. As a Cage Cashier, you will be responsible for assisting customers in the exchange of U.S. currency for casino chips, credit chips, cash, foreign currency, and other negotiable instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control and account for transactions at the cage window, main bank, chip bank, and check bank.
• Deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Perform guest and in-house monetary transactions, including balance and issue impress bank to Floor Attendants, Food and Beverage, and Hotel employees.
• Report and log all Title 31 transactions and verify guest IDs.
• Generate prize and coupon vouchers with friendly explanations and understanding of promotions.
• Process documentation based on current Internal Control Minimum Procedures (ICMP's) and gaming regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of cash handling experience at a minimum; six months of cage cashier experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate with the public in a clear and friendly manner.
• Knowledge of 10 key, balancing of banks.
• Solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment.
• Minimum age is 18 years old. (Must be able to obtain a Colorado Support Gaming License)
