Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Jewelry Store Associate to join our team at Chamonix Casino Hotel. As a Jewelry Store Associate, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with clients, and exceeding sales plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales and Customer Service: Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual store sales plans by capturing client data, cultivating new and existing client relationships, and delivering a significant portion of sales through repeat client business.
  2. Brand Ambassador: Elevate the in-store experience by consistently delivering memorable moments to every client, starting with a smile and a greeting. Demonstrate passion as a Chamonix brand ambassador during every selling process, actively listening to clients and reading their body language to make suggestions.
  3. Store Operations: Achieve sales plan, understand and deliver store KPIs, participate and achieve minimum target goals, and advocate and lead by example the Chamonix cultural values.
  4. Inventory Management: Conduct daily housekeeping, including daily management of client telling tasks, perform accurate and efficient inventory control and loss prevention procedures, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  5. Additional Duties: Perform all opening and closing tasks, including the arrangement and securing of inventory, and participate in special projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working in the jewelry industry is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines and under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Must be based in and currently hold authorization to work in the United States.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales results.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base.
  • Proficiency with Point of Sales (POS) systems, client tracking systems, and Microsoft Outlook/email.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
  • Prefer a graduate gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) coursework.
  • One (1) or more years of recent experience working in the jewelry industry is preferred.
  • Experience in high-end jewelry sales or art gallery experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years retail or luxury retail experience or relevant customer-related experience (i.e. luxury hospitality, etc.)
Language Skills

Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.

Reasoning Ability

Position does not work outside the scope of duties.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.

Other Skills/Abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge about jewelry is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Physical Demands

Essential duties involve sitting while completing paperwork or using a computer. Duties include kneeling, squatting, bending, walking, crouching, stooping, and standing with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move general office supplies and merchandise.

Work Environment

Essential duties involve working primarily in an inside environment.

Materials and Equipment Directly Used

Various general office supplies and equipment include computers, calculators, fax machines, photocopiers, printers, staplers, and tape.

Starting at $16.00+ per hour BOE plus commission.
