Job Title: Unarmed Hospital Security Agent

Triumph Protection Group is seeking a highly skilled and professional Security Agent to join our team at Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee, CA.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, authoritative verbal communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. They will be responsible for detecting suspicious behavior, preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Controlling access to the client site or facility through the admittance process
  • Patrolling assigned areas on foot or in vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
  • Protecting evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations
  • Responding to incidents of fire, medical emergency, 5150 situations, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents
  • Responding quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations
  • Ability to physically and verbally intervene during crisis, including developing rapport with emotionally disturbed people and understanding when people are or are not processing information
  • Escorting persons and assisting medical personnel
  • Is constantly alert and vigilant for activities which could result in injury to a person or damage to or loss of property
  • Comprehends and executes written or verbal instructions
  • Writes accurate, clear, and legible reports
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with co-workers, medical staff members, and other client vendors
  • Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities
  • Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds
  • Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
  • Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must have a CA Guard Card or be able to obtain one
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
  • Authoritative verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings
  • Clean driving record for at least 3 years
  • Ability to obtain a CA guard card - Triumph can assist with certification

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required
  • Security Guard Training Certification, Preferred (for specific state)
  • Previous Medical or Hospital experience a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions. In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:

· Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly

· Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
