JLL Public Institutions & Higher Education is a specialized consulting division recognized nationally for its advisory services to federal, state, and local governments, as well as educational institutions across the United States. Our experts engage at the intersection of transformative development, future real estate trends, social infrastructure, sustainability, and pioneering research to address a wide array of real estate challenges. We collaborate within a vibrant team, leveraging insights from JLL professionals across various sectors to meet our clients' diverse and mission-driven real estate objectives.

We are currently looking for an associate to enhance our advisory team. This position will focus on supporting ongoing consulting projects related to real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, portfolio optimization, and public-private partnerships, while also contributing to business growth. Key responsibilities include real estate financial modeling, market research and analysis, and synthesizing findings into clear deliverables, alongside project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate intricate real estate developments, asset portfolios, and operational strategies to identify optimal usage, market valuations, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Grasp valuation metrics, industry dynamics, and underwriting standards, preparing relevant financial models to support team members and client objectives.
  • Analyze market intelligence and comparable transactions.
  • Conduct thorough economic and demographic research utilizing JLL and external data sources to assess the viability of real estate strategies.
  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis, financial modeling, and development feasibility assessments.
  • Assist in creating solicitation and marketing materials for development opportunities.
  • Communicate analysis results effectively through written reports and presentations to both internal teams and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal JLL teams and clients.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including client proposals and relationship management.
  • Utilize Salesforce to monitor and update client leads and opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline (e.g., real estate, finance, accounting).
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in real estate finance, financial modeling, or consulting.
  • Familiarity with industry concepts and practices related to real estate development and finance.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills for business cases and analytical results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft software, with a capacity to learn new technologies.
  • Experience in project management and coordination, including oversight of analysts' work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Innovative thinking to address unique challenges and develop new analytical methods.
  • Capacity to manage multiple clients and assignments with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for this role ranges from $113,000.00 to $138,000.00 USD annually, inclusive of bonuses where applicable. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee, as employment offers are based on the candidate's qualifications and market data.
