The JLL Public Institutions & Higher Education division stands as a premier consulting practice, recognized nationally for its advisory services to governmental entities and educational institutions across the United States. Our team of experts operates at the intersection of transformative real estate development, social infrastructure, sustainability, and cutting-edge research, addressing a diverse array of real estate needs for our clients.

We are currently in search of an associate to enhance our advisory capabilities. This position entails supporting ongoing consulting projects related to real estate development, acquisitions, portfolio optimization, and public-private partnerships. Key responsibilities will include real estate financial modeling, conducting market research and analysis, synthesizing findings into clear deliverables, and coordinating project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate intricate real estate developments, asset portfolios, and operational strategies to ascertain optimal usage and market values while advising on strategic initiatives.
  • Grasp valuation metrics and industry dynamics, preparing financial models to aid JLL team members and achieve client objectives.
  • Analyze market data and comparable transactions to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough economic and demographic research utilizing JLL and third-party data sources to assess the feasibility of real estate strategies.
  • Perform comprehensive financial analyses and modeling to support development feasibility assessments.
  • Assist in creating solicitation and marketing documents for development opportunities.
  • Communicate analysis results effectively through written reports and presentations to both internal teams and clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal JLL teams and clients.
  • Support business development efforts, including client proposals and relationship management.
  • Utilize Salesforce to monitor and update client leads and opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as real estate, finance, or accounting.
  • 4-6 years of pertinent experience in real estate finance, financial modeling, or consulting.
  • Familiarity with industry practices related to real estate development and finance, including net operating income and capitalization rates.
  • Proficient in writing and presenting business cases and analytical results.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in project management and coordination, including oversight of analyst work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams and independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Creative approach to addressing unique challenges and developing innovative analytical techniques.
  • Capacity to manage multiple clients and assignments with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for this position ranges from $113,000 to $138,000 annually, inclusive of potential bonuses. This range is an estimate and may vary based on factors such as education, experience, and geographic location.
