Position Overview:
As a key member of the Power & Grid Segment, the North American Energy Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in designing and integrating Schneider Electric's digital solutions to facilitate grid transformation for our top-tier clients. The rapid expansion of grid resources, both in-front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter, alongside significant load increases from data centers and the electrification of various sectors, presents unique challenges for utility companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with Strategic Sales Account Executives to identify and address customer challenges through tailored technology solutions.
  • Engage in both pre-sales and post-sales processes, working with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal technical solutions while establishing trust with clients.
  • Leverage comprehensive knowledge of Schneider Electric's offerings to navigate the customer's IT/OT landscape, including our Digital Grid and AVEVA portfolios.
  • Utilize an in-depth understanding of customer operations to propose innovative solutions that enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Serve as the North American subject matter expert for our Power & Grid solutions, providing insights to sales, product, and marketing teams.
  • Participate in industry conferences, delivering presentations and engaging in panel discussions to share expertise.
  • Bring fresh perspectives on industry trends and technological advancements to foster trust and influence decision-makers within strategic utility clients.
  • Possess over 10 years of experience in the utility sector, collaborating with business and technology leaders to address new initiatives and existing challenges.
  • Work closely with program and delivery managers to translate technical risks into actionable strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrate expertise in grid systems management, including solar, batteries, electric vehicles, and smart meters.
  • Familiarity with the control and coordination of various grid components (assets, devices, configurations, etc.).
  • Knowledge of IT/OT applications (ADMS, DERMS, GIS, Asset Management, CIS, etc.) and the deployment of large-scale renewable energy resources.
  • Evaluate current systems architecture and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Articulate software structure and functionality to utility stakeholders.
  • Oversee development teams, providing regular updates on systems architecture initiatives.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Exhibit strong collaboration and communication skills within a diverse, cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to conceptualize and present comprehensive solutions within a broader context.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
