Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Intake Coordinator who excels in delivering outstanding customer service. This role serves as the initial point of contact for new patients, providing information about our services, facilitating appropriate patient-provider matches, assisting with scheduling evaluations, and verifying insurance eligibility. The ideal candidate will prioritize the patient experience and contribute to Rivia Mind's mission of community growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional demeanor to ensure positive interactions with patients.
  • Respond to patient inquiries via phone and email, adhering to departmental standards.
  • Conduct initial financial assessments and verify insurance benefits.
  • Schedule new patient intakes and communicate next steps effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and providers to ensure seamless support.
  • Manage ad-hoc requests promptly and accurately.
  • Obtain necessary referrals and resolve pre-authorization needs in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Stay informed about insurance policies and procedures to facilitate eligibility verification.
  • Update patient waitlists and maintain accurate records.
  • Support practice workflows by scheduling appointments and completing required documentation.
  • Assist with departmental requests as directed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding necessary information sharing.
  • Address patient concerns and promote Rivia Mind's services effectively.
  • Contribute to various operational processes and reporting as needed.
  • Encourage a positive workplace culture that fosters collaboration and personal growth.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years in customer service roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience in office administration or receptionist duties.
  • Preferred experience in medical office operations, including referrals and intake processes.
  • Understanding of insurance verification and benefit explanations.
  • Ability to adapt to varying processes based on inquiries.
  • Experience in a team-oriented environment with shifting priorities.
  • Knowledge of mental health professional licensing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Resilience and ability to manage stress effectively.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance.
  • Proficient in using various technology platforms, including Google Suite and EHR systems.
  • Intermediate computer skills are required.

Compensation Details

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000
