Position Overview

Under direct supervision, this role is tasked with the effective and precise handling of incoming communications and the arrangement of patient appointments, adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collects, verifies, and updates patient demographic and insurance details within the billing management system.
  • Ensures that patients provide necessary pre-visit documentation, pre-authorizations, or referrals for medical services when applicable.
  • Manages calendars and schedules appointments and meetings, prioritizing requests and coordinating necessary arrangements.
  • Handles incoming phone calls and inquiries, directing calls and messages to the appropriate personnel within the management system.
  • Follows established scripts and protocols for addressing requests and inquiries, exercising independent judgment when necessary, and escalating complex situations as needed.
  • Schedules and/or modifies patient appointments within the management system.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensures that facilities and equipment are functioning properly, coordinating maintenance and repairs as required, and may perform minor repairs if qualified.
Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements

Approximately 2 years of experience in a customer service capacity.

Skills and Competencies
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational abilities; capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Working Conditions

This position involves standard office duties and may require prolonged periods of sitting.
