Position Summary:

The Apheresis Cellular Therapy Collection Registered Nurse is responsible for performing apheresis procedures and ensuring adherence to quality assurance protocols to deliver outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct apheresis procedures, including the separation of blood components using the Spectra Optia device.
  • Engage in quality assurance activities, maintaining high standards of documentation and equipment control.
  • Participate in the treatment of conditions such as Graft vs. Host Disease and organ transplant rejection through Extracorporeal Photopheresis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Spectra Optia and Therakos Cellex devices is advantageous. Familiarity with FACT regulations is highly desirable.

Work Schedule:

This position operates Monday through Friday.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an accredited BSN program is required. Registered nurses hired without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing must enroll in a BSN program within two years of hire.

Experience: A minimum of twelve months of relevant clinical experience is required. Exceptional performers with six months of experience may be considered.

Licensure: Current RN licensure in North Carolina is mandatory. BLS certification is also required.
