Position Overview

**This role is essential for overseeing the electrical operations within a well-established company that has a rich history and continues to expand its influence in the construction sector.**

The Electrical Operations Manager is responsible for directing the installation, upkeep, and repair of all electrical systems, lighting, and power distribution infrastructure within the facility.

Salary Information

Work hours are Monday through Friday, with variations from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM; evening and weekend work may be required. The salary range is between $90,000 and $115,000 annually, contingent on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities with other departments in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule for electrical systems.
  • Maintain and update maintenance documentation, keep records, and order repair parts and supplies as necessary.
  • Manage costs, time, materials, and the use of external contractors for electrical system repairs.
  • Oversee all personnel in the electrical department, including recruitment, training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure quality of work, safe working conditions, effective housekeeping, and conduct safety meetings.
  • Encourage proper safety practices and accident prevention measures among team members.
  • Adhere to and enforce regulatory requirements, union agreements, company policies, and facility rules.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including working a flexible schedule.
Educational Background

A relevant college degree or equivalent experience along with related certifications is required.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical work, with familiarity in medium voltage systems, PLCs, and computer networking.
  • Experience in a cement manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful leadership experience is essential. Experience in a unionized setting is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in managing electrical maintenance projects is required.
  • Experience in developing and managing electrical maintenance budgets is necessary.
  • Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Technical training in electrical technology or engineering; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Ability to navigate uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders at heights, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience in a collaborative team environment is essential.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
