Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Office Assistant to join our team at Imperial Healthcare Center. As a Business Office Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our skilled nursing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Comply with our facility's attendance policy, ensuring regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
  • Financial Management: Reconcile monthly petty cash and submit requests for replenishment in a timely manner.
  • Eligibility Verification: Run Medi-Cal/Medicare eligibility checks to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
  • Documentation and Filing: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, and file paperwork as needed to support business operations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the business office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Long-term Care Knowledge: Possess knowledge of long-term care patient needs and requirements.
  • Mental Maturity: Demonstrate mental maturity to handle a fast-paced work environment and cope with mental and emotional stress related to working with vulnerable populations.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with TARS system and Medi-Cal billing is highly desirable.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual skills in any language are a plus, but not required.
