POSITION SUMMARY:

The Community Engagement Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in spearheading initiatives aimed at meeting membership and enrollment objectives through diverse strategies. These strategies encompass marketing campaigns, new market explorations, health fairs, community events, training sessions, member retention efforts, sales visibility, and networking opportunities with brokers, providers, and vendors. This role may also involve researching and evaluating market and business prospects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs, organizes, and executes events such as meetings, presentations, training sessions, product demonstrations, focus groups, and field marketing initiatives.
  • Establishes and nurtures business relationships that lead to increased membership and enrollment outcomes.
  • Represents the department in various internal and external meetings, including vendor discussions, departmental collaborations, community engagements, and provider interactions.
  • Delivers presentations on topics such as sales training, broker product education, member retention strategies, and outreach initiatives.
  • Serves as the department's liaison for marketing materials, collateral distribution, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Acts as the primary contact for significant projects.
  • Identifies and initiates opportunities for field marketing events, grassroots lead generation, and community engagement activities, collaborating with the sales team for effective market execution.
  • May formulate strategies to enhance crossover enrollment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably in government-related products.
  • Experience in health insurance or managed care is advantageous.
  • A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
  • Licensure/Certification: Life and Health License (to be obtained within 60 days of employment).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Possession of an active and current life and health insurance license in good standing, or the ability to obtain and be appointed within sixty (60) days of hire.
