Position Overview:

The Captain holds the primary responsibility for all standard flight operations, overseeing the crew and aircraft from the moment of duty until the conclusion of the flight. This role involves operating the aircraft on an as-needed basis, with varying schedules governed by part 121 of the U.S. Federal Aviation Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) for the flight.
  • Execute flight duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring adherence to specific aircraft procedures, limitations, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure the safe navigation of the aircraft, continuously monitoring its geographical position and maintaining safe terrain clearance.
  • Conduct flights safely and in compliance with the established flight plan.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Aviation-related college degree.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license.
  • Valid unrestricted passport.
  • First Class Medical certification.
  • FAA Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating.
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Boeing 737 Type Rating.
  • Minimum of 2,500 total flight hours, including 500 hours of turbine time.
  • At least 500 hours in a type FAR 121 airline.

Work Environment & Skills:

  • Proficient in basic MS Office applications and internet usage.
  • Must successfully pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.

Shift Details:

  • Work schedule consists of 13 days on, followed by 10 days off, with shifts bid in 90-day increments.
  • Availability for weekends and holidays is necessary.
  • Full-time commitment required for assigned shifts, including nights and holidays.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must meet FAR Part 121 age requirements.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation:

  • Base annual salary of $129,600.00.
  • Competitive salary structure with annual increases and bonuses.
  • Per Diem allowances provided.
