Position Overview:
The First Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the Captain to ensure the safe and effective management of flights. Should the Captain become incapacitated, the First Officer is prepared to take command.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute flight duties as per Standard Operating Procedures, adhering to the specific aircraft type's procedures, limitations, and performance metrics as directed by the Captain.
- Ensure the aircraft's safe navigation, continuously monitoring its geographical position and maintaining safe clearance from terrain.
- Conduct flights in accordance with the established flight plan and follow the Captain's directives when the Captain is not in control.
- Provide valuable advice and assistance to the Captain to enhance the flight's safety and efficiency.
- Seek necessary information from the Captain to effectively fulfill the First Officer's responsibilities.
- Report any safety issues, irregularities, incidents, or accidents to the Director of Safety if not already reported by other crew members.
- Review and update onboard manuals to ensure they are current and accessible.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Aviation-related college degree is preferred.
- Must possess a valid unrestricted driver's license and passport.
- First Class Medical certification is mandatory.
- FAA Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating is required.
- Must hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit is necessary.
- R-ATP Holder with a minimum of 1,000 hours total flight time.
- 2,500 hours total flight time with at least 500 hours in turbine aircraft is preferred.
- Previous experience with FAR 121 operations is advantageous.
- Type rating in Boeing 737 is preferred.

- Proficiency in basic MS Office and internet applications is essential.
- Must successfully pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position require employees to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
Shift Requirements:
- Work schedule consists of 13 days on and 10 days off, bid in 90-day increments.
- Availability for weekends and holidays is required.
- Full-time commitment for assigned shifts, including nights and holidays, is necessary.
Other Requirements:
- Must meet FAR Part 121 age requirements.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual base salary of $81,360.00.
