Position Overview:

The Captain is accountable for all standard flight operations and responsibilities, overseeing the crew and aircraft from the moment of duty assignment until the release. This role involves operating the aircraft on an as-needed basis with diverse flight and duty schedules, adhering to part 121 of the U.S. Federal Aviation Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) for the flight.
  • Execute flight-related duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures, including specific aircraft type procedures, limitations, and performance.
  • Ensure safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining continuous and independent verification of the aircraft's geographical position and safe terrain clearance.
  • Conduct the flight safely and accurately, in accordance with the established flight plan.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Aviation-related college degree is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid unrestricted driver's license.
  • Valid unrestricted passport is necessary.
  • First Class Medical certification is required.
  • FAA Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating is mandatory.
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate is essential.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit is required.
  • Boeing 737 Type Rating is necessary.
  • Minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time and 500 hours of turbine time.
  • At least 500 hours of experience in a type FAR 121 airline.
  • Type rated in Boeing 737.

Work Environment & Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in computer software and internet usage.
  • Must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screening and a compliant background check.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.

Shift Requirements:

  • 13 days on, 10 days off schedule, bid in 90-day increments.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays is necessary.
  • Full-time availability for assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must meet FAR Part 121 age requirements.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary:

  • Base yearly compensation of $129,600.00.
  • Salary during training, along with accommodations at the base.
  • Competitive salary structure with yearly increases and bonuses.
  • Per Diem allowances are provided.

Position-Specific Benefits:

  • Company-paid travel to and from the base or aircraft location.
