Job Overview

The Clinical Services Management Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of clinical personnel. This position is essential for ensuring that services are provided in alignment with medical necessity standards and the mission of Community Behavioral Health (CBH).

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and sustain a robust clinical team through effective recruitment, training, performance evaluation, coaching, team building, and succession planning.
  • Oversee the daily operations of Clinical Care Managers and other direct reports.
  • Evaluate the quality and volume of reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with various clinical teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.
  • Work across different departments within CBH to implement policy and procedural changes.
  • Create specific communication protocols between Clinical Care Managers, direct reports, and service providers.
  • Lead internal clinical meetings and external provider discussions.
  • Accompany Clinical Care Managers and other direct reports in community settings 15 to 25% of the time for ongoing supervision and guidance.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to ensure the accuracy of member-level data and timely communication.
  • Collaborate with fellow Clinical Supervisors to establish consistent expectations and oversight for clinical staff.
  • Gather and analyze data pertinent to the members served, clinical operations, and staff performance to inform interventions.
  • Exemplify and demand exceptional customer service in interactions with clients and providers.
  • Document supervision notes and next steps in accordance with industry standards.
  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities as required.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Team-Specific Duties:

  • Manage the operations of Clinical Care Managers and other direct reports involved with the judicial system.
  • Guide Clinical Care Managers and other direct reports in building collaborative relationships with the juvenile justice and child welfare systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
  • Licensure/Certification: Must be license-eligible and willing to obtain licensure within the first year of employment; PA Child Abuse Clearance is mandatory.
  • Preferred Licensure: Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience, including at least 6 months in a supervisory role.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in multitasking within a dynamic environment.
  • Competent in MS Office and able to type a minimum of 20 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to work off-site as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel, including potential out-of-state and overnight trips.
  • Regularly requires physical activities such as walking, standing, bending, and repetitive movements.
  • Must be comfortable using computers and office equipment for daily tasks.
  • Work is primarily indoors in well-lit and ventilated areas, with some temperature variations.
  • Must adapt to ongoing changes and demands of the role.

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:

  • The successful candidate must be a current resident of Philadelphia or become one within six months of hire.
