The Clinical Nursing Supervisor assists the Director of Nursing in providing efficient and effective nursing care while ensuring positive clinical outcomes, as well as patient, family, and employee satisfaction.

Position Highlights

  • Report directly to the Director of Nursing
  • Oversee, guide, and manage the clinical operations of the nursing units during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to Genesis policies, procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
  • Facilitate the execution of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, and coordinating communication with other departments.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate nursing staff levels to provide safe, continuous nursing care, with a focus on minimizing overtime and agency personnel usage.
  • Engage in staff recruitment, orientation for new hires, and provide recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State Board of Nursing
  • A minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred
  • At least two years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred
  • One year in a management, administrative, or supervisory role is preferred.
