About EMCOR Government Services: EMCOR Government Services provides a comprehensive solution tailored to meet the operational and security needs of various government entities. Our team combines leadership with specialized expertise to ensure high-performance facilities and dependable service.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to act as the primary point of contact for security-related matters in support of our operations. The FSO will collaborate with a skilled team to deliver a variety of essential support services, including facility management, maintenance, and security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of contractor security operations, including:
- Formulating and executing security protocols to safeguard personnel and property.
- Conducting thorough security assessments to identify and address potential risks.
- Coordinating with relevant security agencies to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Providing security training for staff, focusing on emergency procedures and preventive measures.
- Overseeing access control systems, including identification badges and electronic security measures.
- Investigating security incidents and compiling detailed reports with recommendations.
- Engage with clients to understand their security needs and relay these requirements to the security team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster a collaborative working environment.
- Identify opportunities to enhance security measures and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Actively seek client feedback, participate in meetings, and assist with audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Current certification as a Facility Security Officer from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in various security disciplines, including personnel and physical security.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Facility Security Officer, with at least 2 years in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
- Thorough knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and relevant security policies.
- Proficient in using security management systems and applications.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure situations and manage diverse teams.
- Experience in personnel management and working with labor unions is preferred.
- Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- A degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
