Key Responsibilities:

  • The chosen individual will join a unified Personnel Security Department, overseeing documentation from multiple locations, and managing all clearance procedures and access requests for various government entities within the intelligence sector.
  • This role entails handling all facets of personnel security operations, including onboarding new staff for security clearances, conducting reinvestigations, and processing outgoing visit requests and access requests, along with other assigned tasks pertinent to the Intelligence Community.
  • Responsibilities also include serving as a liaison among the subject, Security Point of Contact, Program Manager, and Operations Manager throughout the clearance journey, while also engaging with the IC customer.
  • The candidate will stay updated on policy modifications from the IC customer and will be responsible for interpreting and implementing these changes within Leidos.
  • Moreover, the selected candidate will assist in preparing management reports and will maintain the personnel clearance databases. Comfort in working within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and adapting to a dynamic work environment is essential.
  • High professionalism standards are crucial, along with the capability to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced transactional setting.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, accompanied by 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • The candidate should possess a working understanding of IC clearance processing protocols, experience with various databases, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with IC government regulations, such as ICD 704, is mandatory.
  • Strong command of the English language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, is required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities and the capacity to thrive in a high-energy team environment are essential, along with discretion in handling sensitive personal data.
  • The candidate must hold a TS/SCI clearance.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a TS/SCI clearance that includes polygraph.
  • Experience with SIMS security software is advantageous.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
  • The ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative, as well as being a strong team player in a fast-paced environment, is essential.
