Position Overview: We are seeking a Custodial Services Manager to oversee custodial operations for a significant government agency. This role is crucial in managing a team dedicated to delivering essential support services across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison for custodial service needs at designated government facilities.
- Lead and supervise custodial personnel across various shifts to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop work schedules, direct daily activities, and ensure comprehensive training for all custodial staff.
- Conduct inspections, generate performance reports, and communicate findings to management.
- Maintain security of equipment and facilities, reporting any incidents or hazards to upper management.
- Manage procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment, overseeing inventory levels.
- Ensure custodial services meet established quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Foster effective relationships with clients to support mutual business objectives.
- Engage regularly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to review operational performance and budget adherence.
- Implement corrective action plans as necessary to meet service requirements.
- Prepare and submit performance reports to clients and higher management.
- Maintain discipline among staff and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing custodial services within a large, secure facility environment.
- Familiarity with ARCHIBUS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Experience managing both in-house and subcontracted personnel.
- Experience working with labor unions and managing employees under the Service Contract Act.
- A bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical knowledge of facility maintenance and operations is desirable.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
