Security Operations Manager

About EMCOR Government Services: We provide a comprehensive solution for the operational and mission-critical requirements of government entities at various levels. Our team is composed of skilled leaders and professional technicians dedicated to delivering exceptional service and ensuring high-performance facilities.
Position Overview: We are seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to act as the primary point of contact for security-related matters in support of our operations. The FSO will collaborate with a talented team to deliver a range of essential services, including facility management, maintenance, workforce support, and project oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of contractor security operations, including:
- Formulating and enforcing security policies to safeguard personnel and assets.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
- Coordinating with security agencies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Providing security training for staff, covering emergency procedures and preventive measures.
- Overseeing access control systems, including badges and electronic security measures.
- Investigating security incidents and compiling reports with findings and recommendations.
- Engage with clients to understand their security needs and communicate these effectively to the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster a collaborative working environment.
- Identify opportunities to enhance security practices and ensure adherence to legal and agency policies.
- Actively seek client feedback, participate in meetings, and assist auditors and inspectors.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a current Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Certification as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) from a recognized agency, with additional certifications being advantageous.
- Extensive experience in various security disciplines, including personnel and physical security.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a FSO, with at least 2 years in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
- Thorough knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and relevant security regulations.
- Familiarity with security management systems and applications.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Experience in personnel management and working with labor unions is a plus.
- Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems is desirable.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
