Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to act as the primary point of contact for security-related matters within our contract operations. This role is crucial in supporting a team dedicated to delivering a broad spectrum of base operations services, including facility management, maintenance, workforce support, and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of contractor security operations, which includes:
    • Formulating and executing security protocols to safeguard personnel and assets.
    • Conducting risk assessments to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
    • Collaborating with security agencies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
    • Providing security training to staff, covering emergency response and preventive measures.
    • Overseeing access control systems, including badge and key management.
    • Investigating security incidents and compiling detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Engage with clients to understand their security needs and relay these requirements to contract personnel.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure a mutually beneficial partnership.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance security practices and ensure adherence to legal and agency standards.
  • Actively seek client feedback, participate in meetings, and assist with audits and inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Current certification as a Facility Security Officer from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in security roles, including at least 2 years in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and relevant security policies.
  • Experience with security systems and applications, including DISS and NBIS.
  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information effectively.
  • A bachelor's degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
