Position: Associate Sourcing Manager

ROLE SUMMARY:

The primary goal of the Associate Sourcing Manager (ASM) is to spearhead and assist in optimizing the comprehensive supply chain costs while ensuring top-tier supply performance that aligns with corporate objectives, including cost efficiency, inventory management, and supply flexibility. The ASM will focus on crafting, planning, and executing strategic sourcing initiatives that reveal and enable exceptional value creation opportunities. This role involves seamless collaboration with New Product Development (NPD), marketing, and other cross-functional teams to support the introduction of new products.

As a pivotal commercial relationship manager with our contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), the ASM will cultivate strategic supply partnerships with designated suppliers. Close cooperation with demand and supply planning teams will be essential to ensure that suppliers meet their on-time and in-full (OTIF) targets. The ASM will play a significant role in gathering, analyzing, and reporting supplier performance data while monitoring departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the ASM will provide analytical support to senior management as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive the identification, execution, and realization of supply chain enhancements and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Manage and support the Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) network.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
  • Provide analytical support for spend and CMO OTIF performance data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of new product ideas and launches.
  • Proactively manage risks through the implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Engage in the annual business planning process and coordinate with finance and other functions to establish a robust Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) plan.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
  • Lead the analysis and reporting of spend and supplier performance data.
  • Manage supply chain cost optimization projects, including cost reduction and lead time analysis.
  • Initiate and oversee supplier benchmarking events, including managing RFx processes.
  • Develop cost models and prepare market intelligence reports.
  • Support cross-functional teams in new product launches and transitions.
  • Assist in the supplier relationship management process for assigned suppliers.
  • Coordinate with all supply chain functions to support ongoing and new business initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical and managerial skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimal travel (approximately 5%) may be required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and regulations. Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to perform calculations involving percentages, proportions, and basic algebra.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems.

Salary Range: $100K to $110K
