Agency Operations Supervisor

- City to reside in/near: Houston, TX: Territory: Houston Metro: Travel: 30%
We are looking for a Manager of Agency Operations who will play a pivotal role in enhancing agency partnerships to boost profitability for GEICO and its affiliated products within a designated area. This position will oversee the formulation and implementation of strategies aimed at strengthening agency relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, interview, and approve new agency appointments to broaden GEICO's distribution network.
- Manage agents within a specified area through in-person meetings, virtual interactions, phone calls, and emails to foster relationships, provide training, and oversee agency performance. Implement agency program policies and procedures.
- Translate national strategic initiatives into local objectives, ensuring agents are committed and accountable for their execution.
- Monitor agent performance against established goals, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide guidance to agents and, with leadership support, take necessary disciplinary actions, including termination if required.
- Facilitate effective communication; assist agencies in crafting local marketing strategies to achieve growth targets. Utilize data analysis to develop pre-call strategies focusing on the most promising opportunities within the designated area and/or specific agency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on GEICO and its affiliated products, features, and tools. Conduct research to maintain a competitive edge and encourage agents to promote our offerings.
- Assess agency performance and ensure agents adhere to agreed-upon action plans.
- Conduct training sessions for agency staff on GEICO and its affiliated products, services, and value propositions.
- Collaborate with leadership and product teams to create effective growth strategies for agencies.
- Prepare departmental business plans, staffing forecasts, and budgets. Manage supplies and materials necessary for efficient operations, reviewing plans and budgets periodically to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Adhere to GEICO's Code of Conduct, company policies, and operational principles.
- Maintain attendance standards at the business location to fulfill job functions and facilitate interaction with team members and management.
- Ability to perform essential functions, including seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking, with or without accommodation.
- Clear, empathetic, and professional communication skills via phone.
- Capability to meet in person and virtually.
- Ability to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts, and possess strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in multitasking.
- Aptitude for learning and applying extensive technical and procedural information.
- Bachelor's degree or three years of relevant sales or insurance experience (claims preferred).
- Previous experience driving sales results.
- Experience with various lines of insurance (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health) is advantageous.
- Compliance with GEICO's driving standards and/or policies.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
$102,000 - $158,000. The above salary range serves as a general guideline. Multiple factors influence the final hourly rate or annual salary offered to the selected candidate, including the role's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, training, work location, and market considerations.

**Coverage begins on the date of hire. Enrollment in New Hire Benefits must occur within 30 days of hire for coverage to take effect.
