Position Overview:

In the role of Floating Plant Clerk, you will be integral to enhancing the operational efficiency of our asphalt facilities. This position involves travel to various locations as required. You will handle essential office functions, oversee administrative responsibilities, and maintain vital records in a semi-industrial setting. Your role will involve regular interaction with customers and team members, ensuring smooth business operations.



Key Responsibilities:
  1. Effective Communication: Build and sustain strong communication channels with customers and team members, addressing inquiries and concerns proactively.
  2. Clerical Expertise: Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including accounts payable processing, payroll entry, and daily mail management, demonstrating proficiency in office management.
  3. Transaction Processing: Utilize the Peckham POS system to accurately manage scale tickets for sales, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
  4. Data Management: Oversee plant reporting systems by accurately entering daily sales, material intake, and production data, maintaining the integrity of information for decision-making.
  5. Inventory Oversight: Track fuel deliveries and assist in the ordering process, monitoring fuel consumption to ensure adequate supply for operations.
  6. Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inventory assessments and coordinate the procurement of office and personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring sufficient stock levels.


Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of customers and employees.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  5. Valid Driver's License.
  6. Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
