About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Engineer or Electrical Service Specialist to join our team at Siemens Industry, Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support and services to customers, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical control systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical control circuits and equipment, including high-voltage systems and protective relays.
  • Develop and implement test scripts and methods of procedure (MOPs) for data center commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and services.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to customers and internal staff on electrical control systems and equipment.
  • Conduct site audits and develop design concepts and schematics for electrical control systems and equipment.
  • Perform and supervise preliminary and detailed site audits to develop design concepts and schematics.
  • Participate in job site final walk-throughs, complete job closeout documentation, and provide customer training.
Requirements
  • 8 or more years of experience in electrical control systems and equipment, including high-voltage systems and protective relays.
  • 8 or more years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical control circuits and equipment.
  • 8 or more years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of power automation switchboards.
  • 8 or more years of experience using electrical test sets to perform AC and DC high potential testing, transformer turns ratio testing, transformer power factor testing, and other power system test practices and procedures.
  • Skilled at interpreting protective coordination studies and testing and configuring protective relays.
  • Capable of reading bills of material, electrical blueprints, and power system study reports.
  • Experience with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of low and medium voltage power distribution systems.
  • Familiar with the arc flash and shock hazards of 13.8 kV and the following electrical equipment: Siemens GIS, AIS, WL, RL, and SB breakers and switchgear.
  • Familiar with ANSI, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA codes and standards.
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree – preferably in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • AVO, NETA, and NICET certifications.

  • The pay range for this position is $63,980 - $151,440. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
