Position Summary: We are in search of a highly qualified and experienced Senior Robotics Software Engineer. This role emphasizes expertise in cloud communication, sensor integration, electronics driver development, and robotics navigation and control, alongside proficiency in CI/CD methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess a robust combination of software and hardware skills in robotics, complemented by a Master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.

Key Duties:

  • Design and enhance advanced software systems for autonomous mobile robots.
  • Develop and refine algorithms for path planning, motion control, and obstacle avoidance.
  • Oversee the integration and management of cloud communication services, particularly AWS, to boost connectivity and data handling.
  • Create drivers and interfaces for diverse sensors and electronic components within robotic systems.
  • Establish and maintain tools and workflows for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to optimize software development and rollout.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Utilize machine learning techniques to enhance robot autonomy and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough software testing and debugging to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Stay informed about advancements in robotics software, cloud computing, sensor technologies, and CI/CD practices.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior software engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in robotics software development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms for communication and data processing.
  • Expertise in developing sensor and electronics drivers for robotic applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining CI/CD processes and tools.
  • Strong capabilities in algorithm development for path planning, machine learning, and real-time systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
