We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Inspector/Engineering Technician to join our team at NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC. As a Senior Inspector/Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials testing and inspection services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Review blueprints and prepare for field observations on construction sites.
- Document field activities, observations, and testing results, and ensure conformance with project plans and specifications.
- Utilize field and laboratory information management systems to record testing results.
- Communicate testing results with project stakeholders, including construction services and geotechnical project management staff, general contractors, and clients.
- Calibrate field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards.
- Density testing and asphalt pavement testing in both the field and laboratory for airports is required.
- ACI certification and/or ICC certification in Soils, Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, etc. is a plus.
- Ability to lift 40 to 50 lbs. (field/laboratory samples and equipment) is required.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, with the company providing Personal Protective Equipment and inclement weather gear as needed.
- Willingness to travel out-of-town for short duration assignments within the state of Georgia for smaller airport projects.
- Use of a company vehicle and gas card for daily travel to work sites.
