Job Overview

PRIMARY ROLE

The Financial Center Manager II plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of the branch, focusing on the internal sales strategy and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position ensures compliance with all operational policies and procedures while promoting effective risk management practices among branch staff.

In this role, the manager is accountable for generating necessary reports related to operational controls and adhering to financial guidelines, including income, expenses, and budgetary standards. Responsibilities also encompass safeguarding branch assets, managing collections, and executing daily operational procedures. Additionally, the manager may engage in sales and service activities as needed.

The FCM II is tasked with coaching, evaluating performance, and managing talent among direct reports.

Approximately half of the FCM's time is dedicated to in-branch management, observation, coaching, and driving internal sales and operational efficiencies, while the other half is spent on business development and participating in community-related events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees all aspects of daily branch operations
  • Ensures successful implementation of the internal sales strategy by all team members to achieve results
  • Guarantees exceptional customer service is delivered by all staff in line with Spencer's service standards
  • Monitors staff adherence to branch operations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Actively engages in local community and business initiatives to enhance the bank's visibility
  • Collaborates with the Market Manager to develop the annual business strategy for the financial center
  • Works with the Assistant Financial Center Manager to create a monthly tactical sales plan to meet branch objectives
  • Ensures the branch consistently meets corporate audit and compliance standards
  • Participates in external business development efforts
  • Responsible for managing the financial center's profitability
  • Conducts regular coaching and employee development sessions
  • Manages performance evaluations and talent development
  • Handles scheduling to optimize branch productivity and efficiency
  • Conducts and reviews branch audits
  • May perform additional duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

  • Directly supervises the Assistant Financial Center Manager and Financial Center Relationship Representatives, while indirectly overseeing Financial Center Service Representatives

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Capable of coaching, developing, and managing staff performance

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma is mandatory.

EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred minimum of 3 years in financial center management or supervisory roles
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales/Service management is preferred
