  • Catalyzing continuous improvement in production quality and factory cost through application of 3M's Lean Manufacturing System, Value Stream Improvement planning, Lean Six Sigma, and Entitlement Thinking.
  • Coordinating operating activities so that products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards, and shipped on time. Maintaining customer focus through prompt complaint resolution, corrective action, and effective interactions with the business team. Responding to customer-focused value stream feedback and optimizing logistics.
  • Continuously improving daily tier processes, daily accountability boards, standard work, visual controls, material flow, and inventory accuracy. Encouraging plantwide participation in continuous improvement suggestion activities.
  • Actively participating in relevant corporate lean programs/initiatives, including leveraging the 3M Execution Model and Kaizen execution.
  • Implementing technology such as data automation, digital tier, Dozuki, and new processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Working knowledge of SAP with experience as a Plant Execution (PE) leader.
  • Willingness to be available and at times on-call to support 24/7 continuous operations.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a leadership position in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering/business or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Lean Six Sigma Training.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
  • Seven (7) years of supervisory experience in a leadership position in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing.
  • Skills include ability to develop people and build a culture of trust and cooperation.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

Work location: On-site Hartford, IN

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
