Position Overview:

The Atlas Group is seeking a dedicated professional to play a pivotal role within our engineering team. This position involves close collaboration with various departments in Product Manufacturing to ensure that all engineering and technical specifications are fulfilled, while promptly addressing any challenges that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage new product initiatives and significant programs assigned to the organization, excluding minor components that do not necessitate program management resources.
  • Ensure that production planning is precise, current, and reflects the necessary processes for consistent product output.
  • Establish objectives through comprehensive project plan reviews.
  • Conduct technical assessments by analyzing plans and specifications to determine time requirements.
  • Prepare engineering cost estimates and status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant data and trends, along with providing actionable recommendations.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings punctually, equipped with accurate data.
  • Collaborate effectively with quality control, engineering, and document control teams on updates, revisions, corrective actions, and engineering modifications.
  • Commit to working the necessary hours to address all job-related matters while minimizing absences during standard business hours.
  • Adhere to the company policy manual and demonstrate authority to halt any production order due to quality concerns.
  • Review Product Configuration Control Information (PCCI) and Bill of Material (BOM) for products.
  • Evaluate planned operational support requirements, including tooling and vendor considerations.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with engineering department and company objectives.
  • Comply with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and conduct at all times.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence, and capable of effective communication before groups of customers or employees.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong skills in CAD, particularly with CATIA V5.
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and process enhancement.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with customer specifications and their website.
  • Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
