Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tooling Technician C to join our team at Textron Aviation. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for planning, building, repairing, and maintaining tools and tool components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly operations necessary to construct, maintain, and repair tool and tool components.
- Work from drawings and specifications to fabricate tools and tool components.
- Use a wide variety of fabrication processes for completion or modification of tools and tooling details.
- Operate a variety of hand tools and manual machines, including milling machines and lathes.
- Operate automated control pattern and profile manufacturing machines, including large scale additive manufacturing machines, waterjets, routers, and laser cutters.
- Use a variety of measuring instruments, including micrometers, dial indicators, transits, levels, scales, calipers, and height gauges.
- Perform deburring, blending, and grinding operations as required.
- Responsible for the quality of own work and accountable for dimensional accuracy.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Trades training and moderate computer skills required.
- Fabrication experience and mechanical aptitude preferred.
Working Conditions:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions due to intermittent exposure to dust, water, fumes, and plaster with some skin irritation.
