Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The role involves ensuring the successful assembly of completed units by supervising various activities, including:

  • Assembling components into sub-assemblies
  • Joining structural assemblies, both metallic and nonmetallic
  • Installing systems such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
  • Utilizing fastening methods including screws, bolts, rivets, soldering, crimping, swaging, connectors, or adhesives
  • Conducting tests using mechanical, electrical, and electronic testing equipment

This position requires collaboration with engineering teams, management, suppliers, and customers to ensure product specifications and customer satisfaction are met.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Proven experience working with various cross-functional teams (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management capacity
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in developing and managing project statements of work within budget and on schedule
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with SAP software
  • Willingness to work any shift, including alternative work weeks
  • Experience in a unionized environment with collective bargaining agreements
  • Ability to monitor costs effectively
  • Experience in project management
  • Strategic planning experience
  • Involvement in new product introduction (NPI) processes
