Job Summary

Volt is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Inspector to lead all manufacturing inspection activities and ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our quality standards, managing direct reports, and overseeing the use of inspection methods and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all manufacturing inspection activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage and develop direct reports, monitor workplace performance, and lead training initiatives.
  • Oversee the use of current applicable released planning, drawings, test data, and other pertinent data to produce articles to be certified as airworthy.
  • Coordinate revisions of the AS9100 Quality Manual and Production Approval Holder Quality Manual and supporting procedures.
  • Maintain readiness and interface with regulatory agencies and customers during tours and audits.
  • Initiate correction and response to any regulatory or customer audit nonconformances.
  • Develop, maintain, and report appropriate production metrics to Quality management.
  • Perform or support quality audits of the entire facility, including the repair station, if needed.
  • Lead or support RCCA activities for internal, customer, or supplier issues.
Requirements
  • 8+ years working in avionics and parts manufacturing inspection with experience with engineering drawings, applicable inspection methods, techniques, equipment, and tools used to determine the compliance of new articles.
  • 4+ years of direct supervision experience, with responsibility for receiving inspection, assembly, final inspection and delivery of aviation products or articles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and documentation.
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with aircraft electronics and systems (use of oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other specialized test equipment) is a plus.
  • Experience working in a Part 145 Repair Station environment is a plus.
