Key Responsibilities

Location: Wichita, KS

Essential Duties

  • Evaluates and develops operational sequences and workflows to enhance efficiency within production environments, ensuring optimal use of facilities and personnel while streamlining product flow.
  • May implement safety measures and oversee training initiatives for staff regarding all aspects of production processes.
  • Conducts analyses related to cost management, inventory oversight, and production tracking systems, leading to the development of improved product flow strategies.
  • May collaborate with facilities engineers on the planning and design of operational spaces.
  • Creates and provides time standards for production as well as standardized procedures for various operations.
  • Applies analytical skills for assessing capacity, tool and equipment usage, and line balancing.
  • Performs trend analysis on production performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Engineering tools applicable in production settings, such as capacity analysis and facility design.
  • Comprehension of a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in utilizing production metrics to inform decisions and achieve results.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and analytical thinking to devise innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and engage with various disciplines and management levels.

Educational Background

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Aircraft or Aerospace Manufacturing sector.
