Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:


1. Evaluate and design operational sequences and workflows to enhance efficiency within production facilities and optimize equipment layouts.
2. Establish methods aimed at maximizing the utilization of production resources and personnel while optimizing product flow.
3. Develop and implement strategies for accident prevention and manage training initiatives for staff regarding all aspects of production operations.
4. Conduct comprehensive studies related to cost management, inventory oversight, and production record systems, leading to the development of optimized product flow strategies.
5. Collaborate with facilities engineers in the planning and design phases of production facilities.
6. Generate and provide time standards for shop floor operations and standard work processes.
7. Utilize analytical capabilities for capacity analysis, tool and equipment usage, and line balancing.
8. Perform trend analysis on shop performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Requirements:


1. A minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, and production support, or at least 2 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
2. Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
3. Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
4. Excellent listening skills and a strong desire to learn.
5. Ability to work collaboratively across various functions.
6. Basic proficiency in computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and navigation through 3-D engineering models).
7. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
8. U.S. Citizenship is required.
9. Successful candidates must secure Program access approval.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with SAP is advantageous, as it is utilized on a daily basis.
2. Background in manufacturing or shop floor operations is beneficial.
3. Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
4. Understanding of the RCCA process, with the ability to prepare business cases and implement process improvements.
5. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory; industry experience is a plus.

Kansas Tax Credit:
