About Us: The Outreach Team is a dedicated organization focused on grassroots canvassing initiatives. We empower prominent progressive organizations to enhance fundraising efforts and influence pivotal electoral outcomes.

Role Summary: We are in search of Field Directors to lead a significant campaign aimed at voter registration in Pennsylvania. This includes hiring for a Lead Director role along with several Deputy Director positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and oversee a team of local canvassers dedicated to voter registration.
  • The Lead Campaign Director will supervise one or more Deputy Directors and will be tasked with establishing an operational office from the ground up.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to identify and onboard community members as canvassers, ensuring they understand campaign objectives.
  • Set and drive performance goals for the canvassing team while managing their activities.
  • Implement and uphold safety protocols, including the provision of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health guidelines.
  • Develop a comprehensive database of effective voter registration locations, focusing on engaging underrepresented communities.
  • Engage in fieldwork several days a week to canvass, train staff, and contribute to voter registration targets.
  • Handle administrative tasks in coordination with the HR Director, including payroll management and staff onboarding/offboarding.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a large team.
  • Willingness to actively participate in canvassing efforts multiple days each week.
  • Strong attention to detail and the capability to instill this quality in team members.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Deep commitment to community organizing and promoting civic engagement.
  • Demonstrated track record of promoting equity and inclusion.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred:

  • 1-3+ years of experience managing paid canvassing operations.
  • Experience in a management role.
  • Familiarity with voter outreach tools and databases.

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $1,100 to $1,500 per week, with potential bonuses between $1,500 and $1,800. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, and hands-on training opportunities. There may also be prospects for advancement and additional bonuses upon campaign completion.
