Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist to join our esteemed pharmaceutical manufacturing client. This role is pivotal in supporting research and development initiatives within the System Verification Labs.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate ranging from $35 to $40, commensurate with experience; W2 Contract with no benefits or paid time off.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday during standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct manual smear readings to fulfill project specifications.
  • Perform testing on new or modified hematology analyzers with minimal supervision, ensuring adherence to established plans and protocols.
  • Execute system verification testing, including customer workflows, quality control, calibration, and analysis of whole blood samples.
  • Verify that products meet all necessary specifications and requirements.
  • Assist in diagnosing product performance challenges by collaborating with software and engineering teams, addressing specific customer application concerns.
  • Utilize statistical methods to analyze data, interpret technical findings, and promptly document any issues.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Develop presentations and engage in design review sessions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and policies within the laboratory environment.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a Master of Science (M.S.) degree with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP/AMT preferred).
  • Experience in general laboratory workflows, particularly in hematology, including CBC and 5 Part Differential.
  • Familiarity with decision rules, reflex testing, and laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Understanding of basic laboratory statistics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience with data analysis software such as JMP is a plus.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation capabilities, along with excellent communication skills.
