Pine Gate Renewables is on the lookout for an Accounts Payable Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment within the renewable energy industry. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager and is pivotal in ensuring the precise coding and timely payment of invoices. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with strong communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional data entry accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of vendor-related invoice processing.
  • Scrutinize invoices to avoid duplicate payments, confirm the provision of necessary supporting documentation, and ensure accurate coding (account, department, etc.).
  • Enter invoices into various procurement and accounting software systems for payment approval and processing.
  • Generate and execute payments, ensuring the correct amounts are disbursed.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to invoice and purchase order processing.
  • Foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the Accounting Department, including the automation of accounting processes.
  • Support other areas of the Accounting Department as required.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable, including 3-way matching.
  • At least two years of experience in a complex organizational structure with multiple EINs.
  • Experience in the solar, construction, or real estate sectors is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Oracle Fusion, or Pairsoft is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate concerns, issues, and status updates effectively.
  • A strong sense of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and determination to drive impactful results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.

Work Environment

  • This position operates in an office or remote office setting.
  • May require occasional travel.
